New URL
I feel it is about time that I change the URL of my blog to something easier, and with Google's great offer of less than 10€ for a custom domain I decided to switch to a dot com domain. So, I'd like to suggest that you update your bookmark to http://www.hikinginfinland.com/ instead of the old http://www.hikinginfinland.blogspot.com/ - although the old URL will forward you to the new one, so you're not missing out on anything if you read the blog from a browser, but some functions (like the Followers box on the right) might not work properly. It seems the RSS reader works just fine, but if you don't get updates there, you might want to update it to the new domain as well.

ReplyDeleteI saw a post on BPL saying you weren't impressed with the Vaude. Are you planning to do a full review? I admit to being a little tempted by all the marketing, hype at the trade shows and a decent review in Trail Magazine this month.
Hi Adam, I don't own the VauDe tent, but was able to see it live on the trail, and there I was really not impressed. I believe what you said is right, there's a lot of marketing hype going around this tent because a major manufacturer is making an UL tent, and it doesn't surprise me that they get good ratings in Trail Magazine etc - after all VauDe spends thousands of dollars on advertising with them, so I would not expect a objective review. Here is a short review of a prototype, but if you are looking for a good lightweight tent I'd go for a Tarptent Scarp 1 (slightly heavier, yes) or the HUBBA HP - I'll do a review about the latter soonish, so stay tuned!
